It does not ask for the formal uncertainty statement and decision rule that a 17025 lab issues. Yes. IATF 16949 is the automotive quality standard that sits on top of ISO 9001, and its measurement-system expectations line up with the calibration records Axiospec keeps. For an IATF 16949 workspace it requires the as-found and as-left readings, the calibration certificate, the nominal value, who performed it, the reference standard, and the tolerance. Does Axiospec make my company ISO/IEC 17025 accredited or AS9100 certified?
No, and no software can. Accreditation and certification cover your whole management system: method validation, personnel competence, internal audits, and more, decided by an accreditation body or registrar against your scope. Axiospec owns the calibration-records and traceability slice of that picture. It keeps those records clean, traceable, and audit-ready so that part of an audit goes smoothly; it does not replace your quality system or your assessor.
Does Axiospec force technicians to fill in every required field?
In the web app it guides rather than blocks. When you select a standard, the fields that standard requires are marked and highlighted on the calibration form, but a technician can still save a record with one blank, so a busy bench is never locked up. The REST API is stricter and rejects a calibration write that is missing a required field, which is useful when another system feeds Axiospec. If you need hard enforcement at the bench, that is worth raising, since it is a deliberate product choice rather than a limitation.
